Tibor Helényi (1946-2014)

Tibor Helényi was a Hungarian artist. He is best known for his poster designs of the Star Wars trilogy in Hungarian theatres. Above this exceptional work he was a graphic designer, a painter, he made covers for many well-known books published in Hungary and of course a designer of movie posters.
In 2002 he won the prestigious Hungarian Mihály Munkácsy price.
His artwork can be found in museums (National Gallery of Hungary; Kiscelli Museum – Budapest, Hungary), in galleries (Galerie Hoffmann, Cologne, Germany), in the well-known collection of Pierre Cardin and many private collections around the world.
